Wax
Standard and premium wax ribbons are the most economical of the thermal transfer ribbons. Wax has approximately 20% scratch/smudge resistance and would be used where there is not much contact with the label for example an address label. These ribbons use little energy and produce a very dark print. They are ideal for printing onto paper and vellum labels.
